(Please
ensure that the spelling, use of CAPITALS and lowercase is in the exact format you
require the information printing on the tickets.)
Below is the details for the main part of the ticket, we
have pre-filled some of the most common information into the boxes, but you are
free to delete this or append to it as you will.
The title line is the top line of the ticket and should describe
the name of the society hosting the draw
If the society is a registered charity you are legally required
to state the Reg number or place the words 'Registered as a charity' under the title
line
The draw line just describes the type or theme of draw it
could be just GRAND DRAW or CHRISTMAS RAFFLE or SUMMER FAIR PRIZE DRAW etc.
Enter the prizes (and donators if any) below. The best presentation
is about for to five lines but this is not the limit and you can add as many as
you like, however the size of the type decreases with the length of the list so
please bear this in mind.
If you have text to place on the reverse of the tickets (extra
charge for printing on reverse - see price calculator) then please enter the copy
for this in the textbox below.
The ticket price can be anything you like, there is no maximum legal
limit for society lotteries but the most common prices are from 20p,
25p, 50p and £1.00. All tickets must be sold at the same price,
it is illegal to offer tickets 25p each or 5 for £1.00.
It is a legal requirement to state the date of the draw on
each ticket. It is also customary to state the venue and the time of the draw also.
It is a legal requirement to state the name and address of
the promoter on each ticket, the address can be a care of address or care of the
society etc.
Unless the draw is part of an exempt entertainment or a private
members lottery then it is a legal requirement to be registered with either the
local council or the gambling commission. The registration authority must be printed
on the tickets.
If you are a bona fide printer then please change the imprint
below for your own, however it is a legal requirement under the 'Printer's Imprint
Act of 1961' for an imprint to be printed on the tickets and therefore it cannot
be removed.
Below is the details to be printed on the counterfoil of
the ticket.
You can add almost anything to the counterfoil but please
bear in mind that it is limited on space, again we have pre-filled the most common
text for your convenience.
